When thinking about Tajweed, the first question that comes to mind is why it is important to read the Holy Quran with Tajweed. Every language can be said to be spoken correctly only when it is in accordance with the way of the people of the language. Since the Holy Qur’an is in Arabic, it is necessary to read it according to the method of the Arabs. If the letters are not recited according to their method, the Arabicness of the Qur’an will not remain, or else the meaning will be created against the intention of Allah Ta’ala. For example, Qal means “Kal” if it is read as “Kaal” instead of “Kaal” meaning “Khao” thus “Qalb” means heart, and “Kulb” means dog. Nasr means help and Nasr means vulture. Khaliq means created and Halaq means shaved head. One thing became clear from all these words the meaning is also distorted by the distortion of letters Tertila. That is, read the Quran clearly. What is meant by clear reading is that every letter, vowel, and attribute should be played, otherwise the voice will not be pronounced clearly, but it will be non-Arabic.

In another place, he said, “Wartalna tartila” which means that We have sent down the Qur’an with a tartila. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Masoud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Allah, the Highest, commands you that each one of you should recite as he was taught (al-Hakam, waql Sahih al-Asnaad, and al-Hasna al-Albani). 

Sayyidna Abdullah bin Masoud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Verily, Allah, the Exalted, likes that the Qur’an be recited in the manner in which it was revealed.” (Al-Nashr).
